Langley 232nd Street

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This Central Langley project located off 232nd street was three days from start to finish, where the client wanted a complete full yard irrigation system, complete with a vegetable garden.

The client had just completed his new home, and had a barren back and front yard, so we had an empty canvas to work with. Working in conjunction with the new landscaping, we put in place a full eight (8) zone irrigation system using our trenching machine as well as our mini excavator.

Hooking up a Hunter timer, we completed the project with a variety of pop up spray heads, as well as Rainbird rotors. The vegetable garden had high efficiency driplines installed with great success.

Overall the only real issue with project were the numerous tree roots from all the previous mature trees in place before removal.

Langley Glover Road

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A two (2) acre project just south of the Hwy 1 area in Langley, in the Milner region, the client put in place a full seeded lawn during the hottest and driest time of the year: July and August. So because of this, needed a complete irrigation system in place to help the newly growing grass to take, and keep moist through to the fall.

We also put a full landscape lighting system along the long driveway under all the newly planted trees leading to the newly constructed home.

The solution for the project was a large, 14-zone irrigation system using our trencher and the mini excavator. Along with 35 Low voltage LED lights, of which were uplighting and path lighting. In terms of the irrigation system, we went with a Hunter timer and Rainbird wireless rain sensor. As well, sprinkler pop ups, rotors and Hunter valves installed.

The timeline for the entire project was five (5) days.

The project had a couple of large challenges: because the original lot was extremely uneven, the lot and house were needed to be built up and then leveled by using a huge section of rock. This made it difficult to trench and we had to compensate by doing a lot of digging, with great success!

South Surrey

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project in the Morgan Creek area of South Surrey had the client wanting a complete redo and makeover of the backyard, as well as having the front yard roughed in and provisioned with electrical and piping for expansion in the future, when they were ready.

The backyard had a nice, simple four (4) zone irrigation system, complete with a veggie garden. The heavy lifting of this project was handled by our trenching machine.

The irrigation system used high efficiency Hunter MP rotator nosels for the lawn area, while misters were installed for the tomatoe garden area because of the need for delicate distribution of water onto the vegetables. Further, a Rainbird timer with WiFi control was installed for access from a distance, as well as a Rainbird wireless rain sensor.

The total time of project from start to finish in man hours was 2.5 days.

Coquitlam

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Needing a very good five (5) zone irrigation system was the goal and need for this Coquitlam client located in the Como Lake Region. The reason was the use of Hydro Seeding for his lawn, and doing this in late spring/early summer put pressure on the system to ensure this project would not dry out and ruin the potential lawn.

The solution to this issue was the development and installation of a five (5) zone irrigation system with a Rainbird Wifi timer and a wireless Rainbird sensor. As well, a number of high efficiency Hunter MP rotator nosels were installed.

Timeline for this project was two (2) days.

Langley 44th Ave

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In the Newlands Golf Course region of Langley, just off 44th avenue, our client was looking to add to his newly constructed house with full, complete irrigation system and a high efficiency veggie garden.

What RainCo did was install a six (6) zone irrigation system using our mini excavator hoe, and then installed a Hunter timer and a Rainbird wireless rain sensor. To further augment the system, the client had us install a number of high efficiency Hunter MP rotator nosels, as well as Hunter Hi-efficiency drip lines used along their 200+ feet of cedar hedging on the boundary of the lot.

We also used the Hunter Hi-efficiency drip lines for the vegetable garden.

Langley Landscape Lighting

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

A robust irrigation system as well as an aesthetically pleasing Landscape Lighting system for their walking path was required by our client located right near the Newlands Golf Course.

The result of our consultation and design for the client was the creation of a seven (7) zone irrigation system, complete with a Rainbird Wifi timer system, a Rainbird wireless rain sensor, as well as Hunter high efficiency MP rotator nosels.

Then for the Landscape Lighting, we installed 25 path lights, as well as 10 uplights for the building and surrounding trees.

The timeline for this project was four (4) days.

Surrey

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our client in the Cloverdale area of Surrey was looking to redo a pre-existing lawn, but because of this hand trenching was needed rather than the use of heavy machinery. This was needed to save the existing lawn.

The project design specifications called for a five (5) zone irrigation system, with a Hunter timer installed, as well as high efficiency Hunter MP rotator nosels.

The high efficiency Hunter nosels were required because we didn’t have access to the main water line to the house. So because we had no access to main water line, we had to gain access to water by using an exterior hose bib.

So the challenge when hooking up to outside water bib, the water volume and pressure is significantly lower. Therefore the use of the high efficiency Hunter MP rotator nosels is the solution for this issue because of such low requirements for both volume and pressure levels. Great solution and results.

Timeline: 2 days

Langley Worrell Crescent

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Our RainCo client located in the Milner region of Langley on Worrell Cresent had a very specific requirement: they wanted to sell their house during the peak selling season of summer, and wanted to increase the ‘curb appeal’ of the house by having a nice green lawn during the summer months, by ridding themselves of the annual ‘yellow grass syndrome.’

They also wanted to show off the rather large lot for the evening by installing some Landscape Lighting.

What we ended up designing and implementing for them as part of the project specifications was a large 12 zone irrigation and Landscape Lighting along the path with the use of path lighting in rear.

RainCo then installed a Rainbird Wifi timer as well as a Rainbird wireless rain sensor, Rainbird rotors and Rainbird garden spray nosels for the garden out back.

With the use of our trenching machine, we were able to complete this project in six (6) days.
